i know your past will
never go away, but please
just give me some hope
something worth holding on to
something to dream for and trust
87/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
i know your past will
never go away, but please
just give me some hope
something worth holding on to
something to dream for and trust
87/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
years ago I worried
there would be nothing left
to write down
after you were gone,
but I was wrong
I’ll never run out of words,
I just don’t want them
to spill out for you
you don’t deserve
the time it takes
to think about you anymore
86/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
when we’re not sharing
the same space, I don’t feel like
we are together,
and when we are together,
I feel like you’re far away.
85/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
I’ll just keep chewing
on pens and ripping papers
to shreds, though I know
it doesn’t have to be this
stupid hard all the damn time.
84/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
When you look at me
it gives me so much comfort,
I ease into your
arms and your heart and your life,
and I just don’t want to leave.
