I don’t need to beat
my love into you – it’s there
in our hands we hold
in our ever beating hearts
and of course inside our eyes
35/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
I don’t need to beat
my love into you – it’s there
in our hands we hold
in our ever beating hearts
and of course inside our eyes
35/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
you light me on fire
with your touches and your looks
and with every word
34/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
Now you’re the lover
of a lover of words,
a girl who traces
stanzas on your bare chest
and taps out haikus
on her fingertips
when you talk on the phone.
How does it feel
to know you’ll be the one
she writes at least
one hundred poems about,
to know you’re the one
she always thinks of first
whenever she picks up her pen?
33/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
I can tell you that
I love you from miles away –
you need to feel it.
Sometimes words are not enough
to show what you mean to me.
30/365 – A Poem a Day For a Year
your touch would be like
the coldest drink of water
on the hottest day
